     According to the Vietnam Iron and Steel Association (VSA) just released a report on the situation of the Vietnamese steel market in May and the first five months of 2021, the production and consumption of various types of steel have increased significantly during the same period.

　　 Among them, in May 2021, the output of various steel products was 2.919296 million tons, an increase of 3.53% from the previous month, and a year-on-year increase of 40% in 2020. In 2020, the output of various types was 13.40321 million tons, an increase of 38.7% year-on-year.

In terms of consumption, it reached 2,475,826 tons in May 2021, a decrease of 8.42% from April 2021, but an increase of 30.8% over the same period in 2020. Among them, steel exports were 630,551 tons, an increase of 18.04% month-on-month, and a year-on-year increase of 2.4 times in May 2020.

　　 Overall, the steel consumption in the first five months of 2021 reached 11.959581 million tons, an increase of 38.2% over the same period in 2020; among them, the export of various steel products was 2.799252 million tons, an increase of 80% over the first five months of 2020.

Regarding steel imports, the latest report as of the end of April 2021 shows that Vietnam imported 1.34 million tons of steel in April, with a turnover of 1.08 billion U.S. dollars. Compared with the same period, the volume and value increased by 17.7% and 52.15% respectively.

　　 From the beginning of the year to April 2021, Vietnam imported 5.02 million tons of steel with an amount of more than 3.73 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 12.84% and 37.32% year-on-year respectively.

　　 In the first four months of 2021, China imported more than 2.62 million tons of steel, with an import value of over US$1.82 billion, accounting for 52.33% of the total steel imports and 49.01% of the total steel imports. Country's turnover.
